| Overview on Health Care:
Even though we are in depth in the health care battle, there are serious issues that must be dealt with which include affordable health care coverage and prescription drugs regardless of differences in sex, race, ethnicity and income without placing families into bankruptcy to be able to deal with their family’s health care issues. It’s easy to see that the cost of health care is at the bottom of many home foreclosures. These costs should not be placing families in financial jeopardy.
The best way to deal with all of this would be to have a robust public option, and if that isn't achieved now, I will definitely work toward getting it done when I get to DC.
Upcoming health-care legislation should include serious wellness and prevention programs that deal with people’s exercise programs, diet and well-being. People also need to have choices when it comes to long-term health care that allow them to continue to live in their own homes or communities by expanding affordable options.
A more detailed policy overview will be posted as this campaign progresses. |
